Program
GMTV is preparing your entire system - intellectual, physical, emotional, energetic - to receive the transmission vipassana offers and endure 10 days alone with yourself without escape.
WHY 6 MONTHS? WHY NOT JUST SHOW UP AND SIT?
During a 10-day Goenka vipassana retreat, you're not just sitting quietly observing your breath.
You're systematically scanning your entire body — from the tips of the toes to the top of the head — feeling every sensation without reaction. No movement. No distraction. Just pure, sustained attention on what's actually here.
And what's here? Sankaras.
Sankaras are the energetic impressions, karmic imprints, stored in your body — trauma, stress, unprocessed emotion, ancestral patterns, all the stuff you've been carrying since birth, and the lifetimes before you. They live in your fascia, your tissues, your nervous system. Compressed. Waiting.
Vipassana doesn't theorize about these patterns. It doesn't analyze them. It systematically releases them.
When you sit with equanimity — observing sensation without craving pleasant feelings or resisting unpleasant ones — the body begins to unwind what it's been holding. Sometimes gently. Often not.
A lifetime of stored material can surface in 10 days.
Here's what most people don't understand:
Your nervous system isn't designed to process a lifetime of accumulated trauma in a single sitting. When sankaras release too rapidly without adequate capacity, the system can become overwhelmed — which can re-traumatize, cause dissociation, and panic.
I've witnessed this. I've experienced versions of it myself:
My Kundalini activation in Costa Rica? Powerful energy without preparation. Left me chaotic and destabilized for months.
Qi circulation errors in China? Producing energy I didn't know how to ground. Splitting headaches. No one there could explain what was happening.
Shamanic journeying in Bali? Opened portals I wasn't embodied enough to navigate safely.
I was seeking transcendence — peak experiences, mystical states — without building the capacity to integrate what arose.
Vipassana is different. It's not about peak experiences. It's about systematically training your nervous system to remain present with whatever surfaces — pleasant, unpleasant, neutral — without reacting or grasping.
But you can't learn that in 10 days if your baseline is dis-regulation and it is very difficult to develop equanimity on the cushion if you haven't practiced it in your daily life.
You can't sit with intense sensation if you've spent your entire existence numbing, distracting, or fleeing from discomfort.
This is why 6 months.
Six months gives your nervous system time to:
Down-regulate from chronic fight/flight/freeze patterns
Build capacity to feel difficult emotions without collapsing or numbing
Practice equanimity with manageable activation before facing the intensity of retreat
Develop body awareness so you actually know what "observe sensation" means
Integrate shadow material that would otherwise overwhelm you during the sitting
Strengthen your foundation so when sankaras release, you have a container strong enough to hold the process
This isn't about being "ready" in some spiritual sense. It's about nervous system capacity.
Can you sit with discomfort without immediately reaching for your phone?
Can you feel anger without acting it out or suppressing it?
Can you experience grief without numbing through food, substances, work, or distraction?
Can you remain present when your body activates — when old wounds surface, when ancestral patterns emerge, when the pain you've been avoiding finally demands to be felt?
If the answer is no, you may not be ready for vipassana.
Not because you're broken. Because your nervous system hasn't been trained for this level of intensity.
GMTV is that training.
Six months of systematic preparation. Building the capacity before you need it. So when you sit for 10 days and a lifetime of sankaras begin releasing, your system doesn't collapse — it holds.
I learned this the hard way—through years of chaotic seeking, energetic overwhelm, and integration failures.
You don't have to.
Six months.
If you've already done significant nervous system work — therapy, somatic practices, shadow integration — you might not need this training. But most people haven't. Most people are running on fumes, dis-regulated, and have accumulated a lifetime of sankaras they don't even know are there.
This is why GMTV exists.
Not to teach you about vipassana.
To prepare your system to actually receive what vipassana offers.
The Program
THE TWENTY-SIX WEEK ARC
Six months. Each month builds capacity your nervous system needs before sitting for ten days in silence.
MONTH 1: FOUNDATION, REST, EMPTINESS
| Foundation. Down-regulation. Learning to sit with what is. Understanding the meaning of nothing done needs to be undone. Daily ractice rhythm established.
MONTH 2: NERVOUS SYSTEM, BODY AWARENESS, SEEING | Capacity building. Body awareness. Watching what moves across the emptiness. Intensity enters through cold and breath.
MONTH 3: SHADOW INTEGRATION & RELATIONSHIPS | How we relate to the world. The patterns that show up — the core wounds we carry — become visible. Integration work deepens.
MONTH 4: PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATION S | Study expands. Watts departs, Pema Chödrön enters. The practices continue while our minds sharpen, our capacity to feel deepens, and we begin to understand why vipassana.
MONTH 5: PURPOSE & PROSPERITY | Life's Work and material reality. How the preparation translates beyond the cushion into how we move through the world.
MONTH 6: PREPARATION FOR DISSOLUTION | Everything consolidates. Practices stabilize. The foundation is complete. You're ready for ten days in silence.

HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS
Daily (30-45 minutes + journal):
FLOW | Qigong (15-30 min) - beginner friendly qigong (can explore 3 different techniques), to clear our energy channels and prepare us for the day ahead
STILL | Sitting meditation (systematic progression) - we build the foundation, develop awareness of the breath, begin to reclaim our attention
ACTIVATE | Cold exposure (systematic progression) - slow build, we begin by turning the water to cold after our warm showers. Getting used to discomfort
ACTIVATE | Breathwork (enters Month 2) - discovering and practicing both activating and regulating techniques
INTEGRATE | Journal (5 - 10 min) - unique journal system designed specifically for this program. Systematic daily tracking to track patterns and discuss during sessions
CONTEMPLATE | Study time (varies) - specialized texts, Watts and Chödrön, synchronistic studies aligned with weekly itineraries. Gene Keys for personalized shadow mapping and gift transformation understandings
Weekly:
Tuesday 1:1 sessions | 90 minutes
We ground together, breathe together, then explore. What showed up in the practices this week? Where did the body speak louder than the mind? What pattern became visible that wasn't visible before? These aren't instructional sessions. They're witnessing sessions. You're doing the work in the daily practices and in the Tuesday sessions we deep dive into what is arising. Patterns become more clear when you speak them out loud and have someone mirror them back at you.
Friday 1:1 check-ins | 30 minutes
Shorter. More surgical. How's the week landing? What's working? What's not? Is something trying to surface that needs attention before next Tuesday? These aren't optional comfort calls, they’re here to reveal things and help you digest them. Some of them need addressing in real-time. If nothing arises, we connect and practice something together.
What You Receive Each Week:
Customized Weekly Itinerary - Your roadmap for the week. Specific practice instructions, 5 Elements breakdown, study materials, journal prompts. Everything you need to focus on during the week, and why.
Gene Keys Contemplation Guide - 2-page deep dive into the specific Gene Key you're working with that week, tied to your own personal chart. Shadow recognition, gift activation, contemplation prompts that land in the body. This is surgical mapping of your actual patterns, both conscious and unconscious. The program stored in your very DNA.
These aren't generic. They're built for the week you're in, the capacity you're building, the activation you're ready for.
The GMTV Five Elements
GMTV doesn't teach five separate practices. It trains your nervous system through five energetic movements that cycle daily until the pattern changes the very structure of your DNA.
This is inspired by the Chinese five elements — Wood, Water, Fire, Metal, Earth — but not as substances, rather as phases. Energy movements that transform and impact the next. Each practice corresponds to one of these movements. Together they create a complete cycle that repeats across twenty-six weeks. By the time you arrive for your vipassana sitting, your body will know this rhythm without thinking.
FLOW is qigong. Fifteen to twenty minutes of moving meditation. Energy circulation. Body moving with awareness and presence. This corresponds to Wood—expansion, circulation, awakening. It prepares you to sit by teaching movement first. This is work for our fascia, our energy channels, and qigong works to stretch, energize, clear, and release the tensions that are stored in our bodies.
STILL is sitting meditation, the foundation of vipassana. We notice the sensation of breath at our nostrils. Notice our minds drift, gently returning our awareness to the sensation of the breath. Ten minutes at the start, twenty by the end of Month 2. Sixty by the time you do your sitting. This is Water—depth, receptivity, formlessness, the return point. Everything else in the program moves. This practice doesn’t, it’s the mountain that weather crosses without changing.
ACTIVATE is cold exposure and breathwork. Thirty seconds of cold water that extends to forty-five, two minutes, five - whatever your body calls for. Three rounds of Wim Hof style breath holds. Pranayama techniques to calm the mind when agitated. This is Fire—intensity, transformation, testing under pressure. It reveals what sitting can't through activation by circulating our life-force energy, qi. This will put your nervous system under actual stress, a certain intensity you can't think your way out of. This practice teaches: discomfort doesn't equal danger. You can stay and witness when the mind wants to flee.
CONTEMPLATE is study and shadow work. Alan Watts pointing underneath thinking. Gene Keys showing what's running unconsciously. Pema Chödrön later, naming what the body already knows. This is Metal —seeing clearly, cutting through illusion, and refining. It brings awareness to what the body already knows and feels. What you can see clearly loses power over you. We view the mask, we see that we have been hiding from ourselves all along.
INTEGRATE is journaling and sessions. Five to ten minutes each evening tracking what happened throughout the day and in the practices. Ninety minutes Tuesday, thirty minutes Friday with me. This is Earth — grounding, metabolizing, centering, completing the cycle. The other four practices generate experience. This one grounds it into your nervous system. Transformation happens through observing, witnessing, and metabolizing.
Each movement creates the next. Flow prepares you for Still. Still reveals capacity for Activate. Activate generates material for Contemplate. Contemplate requires Integrate to become embodied. Integrate informs the next Flow. The cycle repeats. Daily, for twenty-six weeks.
By the time you arrive at your ten day vipassana sitting, this will no longer just be something you do each day, it will be how your system operates. The preparation isn't separate from vipassana. It's vipassana training happening at a pace your nervous system can actually metabolize.
That's the five elements of GMTV. Not building blocks you stack, rather movements you cycle through until they're embedded in the code of your DNA.
Investment
This is a six-month program preparing you for a ten-day Goenka vipassana retreat. The work is systematic, the commitment is real, and the price reflects that.
GMTV uses sliding scale pricing to ensure this work remains accessible while sustaining its depth and integrity. Choose the tier that reflects your actual financial capacity—not what feels most humble or what you wish were true, but what's real.
Foundation Tier | $1000/month
For those where finances are a genuine constraint. You can participate without financial strain, but this would be a stretch at higher tiers. This tier is subsidized by those who choose Steward pricing.
Standard Tier | $1,200/month
For those who can participate without significant financial stress. This is sustainable for your situation and doesn't require sacrifice in other areas of life.
Full-Year Option
Pay for six months upfront and receive 10% off the Standard tier. This means committing before you've experienced the work, so only choose this if your body says yes without hesitation.
Payment Methods
Stripe (primary), PayPal (international), or cryptocurrency (USDC/USDT) if that's your preference.
What You're Actually Paying For
Twenty-six weeks of preparation. Five daily practices. Weekly sessions and check-ins. Personalized Weekly and Gene Keys chart contemplation frameworks. Personalized online journal, with analysis. Access to someone who's walked this path and can help you see what you cannot.
This isn't information you could get from a book. It's not a course you watch and forget. It's transmission. It's companionship through dissolution. It's six months of building the capacity your nervous system needs before you sit for ten days in silence.
If you're ready, you'll know. If you're not sure, that's useful information too.
Fundraising
Taking two weeks off work for personal growth isn't easy — especially in the US.
If you need unpaid leave to attend your retreat, we can work together to create fundraising opportunities through your network. This can cover:
Your costs while away
GMTV program fees
A donation to the vipassana center where you'll sit
You're not doing this alone.
